  • 18 straight hours of work in a 24 hour period.  who needs sleep?

One of the Network guys in NY got laid off and I got dumped all his projects on top of the projects I already have.  Haven't had much free time at work like I used to plus I've had to extend my working hours.  Tuesday night was the worst... got a call at 2 am for an outage.  I stayed on the phone with them from 2 am until 5 am... drove to the Board of Trade to physically check on the router and headed straight to the office by 6am.  Had to juggle all my projects and get some hot items off my to do list by the evening.  Didn't get home 'til 8 pm.  Still have to work this weekend.  One good thing coming out of this is that I'm taking lead with the Voice over IP project and I'm not bored out of my 'cuz they're keeping me busy.  That and I may get to fly out to Cali a few times for a deployment.

Lovin' the new phone... but I already scratched up part of the face 'cuz I wasn't smart enough to buy a case for it.  Currently on order.

Strained/sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago during volleyball... hasn't healed yet but I'm no longer limping.

Learning/trying to learn how to salsa.  Looking for a dance instructor to teach ballroom dancing, latin dancing, etc.

BTW... have fun whenever you go to Cali... especially the sun and the atmosphere...

  • 24 hour shifts are the worst!  i once said good bye to my coworkers at 10pm at night, and when they came in the next morning, i was still sitting there wearing the same clothes.  it was quite embarrasing   get well soon - your ankle that is.

  • RYC: It was a US passport. That's why I think it was ridiculous to not accept it.
